Eric - Are you the son of Magi and Bob? My wife Wendy Wayne knew Dr. Bob Lasiewski at UCLA in the 60s. She would like to reconnect with Magi.

Hi

One of the four brothers I think was Clement (i.e, Klemenz) my grandfather who lived in Jersey City. He had four children, Joseph my father, Peter, Mary and Anthony who died at birth. I looked up Lasiewski on people finders and I was surprised at how a few immigrants in America could generate a large family tree. My uncle always talked about the crazy one who jumped off a roof. The Lasiewski name by the way was recorded in the book of names of those who went in the Crusades from eastern Europe to Jerusalem. If you would like further info let me know.

Hey man,

I can't believe that Rosie knew about this page and I didn't. I must be losing my edge.

We do have some information around here to share with you. We'll need to find & organize it.

you might want to check out zelberschwecht.com

the name comes from Laszwo a small village (actually there are 2 both where owned by the von Laszewski family) more on nthe website. Laszewski means from Laszewso given by to John Grzymala by his brother Preslaw the bishop of Breslau in the 13th century. I have the exact dates anwill note them on the website soon, the website is so out of date.

the family crest of the Laszewski family is the same as Grzymala, see website.

My records go back to 129 and found some new records going back even further.

Next time I'm at the NY Library I will look uo lasiewski, most likely a misprint by a rushed imigartion officer.

Hi,
I googled my maiden name and found this site. I am originally from Jersey City, New Jersey. My grandparents were Frank & Mary Lasiewski. My parents are John P. and Marguerite Lasiewski. I have two older sisters Judith and Diane. Would be interesting to see if we all fit in someplace.

Sincerely,
Christine

Hey Erik! Thanks for maintaining the site!! I have some family tree info in a Legacy(LDS) family tree program. I will try to get it up to date and send you a copy of what I have. Probably on a CD.
Hope you are well and enjoying life.

Hi Eric-I think you remember me-John's sister who lives in PA. John sent me the link to your neat web site and I have had fun looking at it. Last year your Mom asked me to try to find out something about your Dad but I found nothing. I now know why-I was way!!! of on the spelling. I am having another "no sleep" night so was poking around on the net and found some interesting stuff. email me if you are interested. I am really into genealogy (that is an understatement as John will tell you) and can maybe help--again if you are interested. Diane

I was a close high school (Lyndhurst, NJ) friend of Marilyn Lasiewski Dhuyvetter. Sadly Marilyn recently lost her battle with cancer. She passed away in December 2005. Marilyn was living in Mountain Lakes, NJ. She is survived by an older brother, her husband and two at home daughters
