\nIt is a letter to my mom from her cousin Walter Sauer (deceased), who was also your dad’s cousin. It includes descriptions of each of the numbered photos below. I made copies of some of the pictures and overlaid names on them based on Walter’s descriptions. Walter sometimes uses married names for the Hoheisel sisters, so you need to look at the Ancestry.com family tree if you really want to understand all of the relationships!<\/p>\n

As to the places where our family comes from, out great-grandparents, Paul Hoheisel and Anna Schmidt and their oldest son, Paul Hoheisel were born in Arnelsdorf (now Jarno\u0142t\u00f3wek)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The next Hoheisel children, Maria, Elizabeth, Hedwig, Anna, and Martha were born in Ziegenhals (now G\u0142ucho\u0142azy)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Your grandfather, Bernhard and my grandmother, Helen were born in Borkendorf (now Burgrabice)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I am not sure if the family moved, or the hospital was in Borkendorf, but we’ve always thought of Ziegenhals as the family town. All of these towns are within 10 miles of each other.<\/p>\n
