I went off-roading today with my mom and Melissa. They both drove on some pretty tought trails, and did great!
So, another Chrstmas has come and gone. I spent most of the day alone (by choice), waking at 12:00 noon, going to see Memoirs of a Geisha, then making a nice Christmas duck with chestnut stuffing. I topped off the day with a quick visit at Wendy’s house to exchange gifts… In all, a wonderful day.
I cannot believe that it has been another year gone by. So much has changed, and it has been mostly for the better! This year, I put up lights and a tree (a first for me!), and really got to enjoy the Christmas spirit spending time at the Mission Inn at night. For some reason, it feels like people are more friendly and in the spirit of things this year. Or maybe it’s just me… Either way, I like it!

This is Gene, Mark, Pete and me at the Goat Hill Tavern enjoying our traditional “before family obligations” Christmas celebration. Always a blast!

Ah… Sierra Nevada! Stopped in at the Royal Falconer tonight after the Mission Inn… The place was packed, but I was able to find a spot at the bar for my weary feet.
I am continuing to make additions and changes to the new Lasiewski.com web-page… Tonight/this morning I added the Lasiewski family history page, and a page of all of the party flyers I have developed over the years. Enjoy!

This is my latest Hei-Matau (stylized bone fishhook). This one is about 1.5 inches long and made out of cariboo antler.

John and I played a little joke on his neighbors… We took their life-sized Christmas reindeer out of the ground, layed it down, and sprinkled shotgun shells around it. Hmmmmm… venison…

Downtown Riverside on a winter’s night. It’s hard to believe that this is the same place that rolls up the rug at 7:00PM every other night of the year!

This is the first draft of Mark’s holiday party flier. A better title text needs to be added, and some topical filler needs to be developed, but this is my idea for this year!
